Favorite Brushes: Setting

Now this a tool that is not really necessary, but I’ve grown accustomed to using this in my everyday makeup routine. A setting brush is used mostly to set concealer in the under eye area. A good setting brush should be pretty much a mini powder brush. It’s small size is ideal for the eye area so you’re not getting powder everywhere, and if you’re like me, blinding yourself by getting powder in your eyes (don’t ask I don’t know how it happens either).

My favorite setting brush is not actually technically a setting brush but it gets the job done. My favorite “setting brush” is Sephora Collection Pro Contour #79. I bought it awhile ago to use with my Smashbox powder contour palette. It worked, but it was just kinda meh. In fact, it’s better blend out a contour than to apply one, which wasn’t what I was looking for I have a better, cheaper brush for that. One day I just picked it up and used it set my under eye area, and the angels started singing. I love this brush. It's tapered and fluffy, but it puts the powder where it needs to be.
