Favorite Brushes: Highlighter

It’s 2016 and we, the beauty community, are in the age of the blinding, ethereal, unicorn highlight. It’s everywhere, and every brand has put their two cents in on the trend. From liquid, to cream to powders and palettes, highlighters come in all forms and colors. You can use them on the cheekbones, nose, mixed in with your face products, on the body, or like our YouTube beauty gurus, everywhere. Everyone loves a glow. Just like with contouring products, the type of tools recommended are going to depend on the formula you’re using. While I love a liquid highlighter, I tend to use a powder highlighter for my day-to-day makeup routine.
The best brush to use for a powder highlighter, in my opinion, is a good fan brush. Fan brushes come in different sizes, some even the size of my actual face. My favorite type of fan brushes are the ones on the smallish side and kinda thin. My favorite is the e.l.f. Fan brush, and IT”S ONLY A $1! You can’t beat that.
